Penang Gerakan received warm welcomes from the Hindu devotees.

Penang Gerakan, led by State Chairman Sdr. Dr. Teng Hock Nan, with other party leaders and members, took part in the annual Thaipusam’s festival began from 9 Feb 2009 to 11 Feb 2009.

This is a usual practice for Penang Gerakan, since the party was formed in 1968. Every year, the Penang Gerakan’s leaders and members will celebrate with the Hindu devotees on the first day of Thaipusam, at the Western Road, Penang.

Penang Gerakan also has its own stall in front of headquarter, to receive the returning the Thaipusam’s chariots on the final day of the festival, Feb 11.

Gerakan President Sdr. Dr. Koh Tsu Koon was also presence at the stall. His presence was cheered by the members of public at the scene.
