Lim Guan Eng not sure of his position
Even though Hindraf were the allies of DAP they now see that the state government had no intention to help them, leaving them no choice but to resort to demonstrations and also to submit a memorandum to convey their dissatisfaction.

On the Kg Buah Pala issue, Penang Chief Minister Lim Guan Eng has once again shown that though he is the head of state he is not sure of his position in this present predicament. Once again he has diverted the issue and deflected it to the former Barisan Nasional government.
Penang GerakanYouth Secretary, Hng Chee Wey, acknowledged that the previous Penang government did not do well in certain things and hence it gave an opportunity for the public to have a new government to be in power. Since the people have already voted, it is the PR’s responsibility to resolve all problems by using state government channels.
He issued a statement today that the present state government has repeatedly pass the blame to the previous state government. Even though Hindraf were the allies of DAP they now see that the state government had no intention to help them, leaving them no choice but to resort to demonstrations and also to submit a memorandum to convey their dissatisfaction.
Hng said, Kg Buah Pala is in the midst of crisis and although Lim Guan Eng is in Penang he had not personally receive the memorandum from the residents but they were in turn sent away by his political secretary. We can see that the state government refused to listen to the people.
He said that Lim Guan Eng had criticized Hindraf, vigorously attacked the former government and pushing the blame to the latter. The previous Penang state government had many flaws but they have been punished by the 8th march elections. Now that there is a new government, it is upon them to resolve this problem, regardless of whether it involves legal or technical issues. Solutions have to be found through state government channels.
