Guan Eng slapped over CAT motto

Press Statement by Penang Gerakan State Liaison Committee Assistant Secretary, Goh Kheng Sneah

Penang Gerakan has urged State PKR chairman Datuk Zahrain Mohamed Hashim to make public the party’s internal inquiry into allegations of corruption involving two senior PKR leaders.

In a statement, Penang Gerakan assistant secretary Goh Kheng Sneah said not making public the findings contradicted the Pakatan Rakyat state government’s slogan of competency, accountability and transparency.

“This is a slap on the face of Chief Minister Lim Guan Eng who has been advocating on transparency, accountability and competency,” said Goh, adding that corruption involved public interest.

“Lim should ensure that the PR coalition and its component parties practice transparency when handling this case and let the public know the findings,” added Goh.

Goh said Lim was always good at shouting at Umno and the Barisan Nasional whenever there was a mistake but “he dared not shout at his boss, Anwar Ibrahim.”

He said Lim should not try to cover the weaknesses of PR component parties.
