Penang Gerakan Chairman Dato’ Dr Teng Hock Nan hoped newly appointed Penang Municipal Council president Tan Cheng Chui and Seberang Prai Municipal Council president Mokhtar Mohd Jait would carry out their duties well to benefit the people.

Congratulating them on their appointment, Dr Teng said it was important for the two to further improve the quality of services provided by the councils.

He said the two councils’ jurisdiction is wide and it is a challenging task to handle all the problems faced by ratepayers. “However, I hope they will work harder to serve the people well.”
