Gerakan Youth Secretary General Dr Dominic Lau finds the odds ranking remark made by the Chairman of BN Melaka Dato Seri Mohd Ali Rustam is hilarious and ridiculous. He is puzzled on how Ali Rustam managed to speculate the chances of winning of each party.

Dr Dominic said, “The so called ranking is merely the subjective opinion of Ali Rustam which can not be used to proof anything. It is obvious that he is only trying to lambaste and weaken Gerakan. Is this what a state BN Chairman should be doing?”

“On the contrary, Ali Rustam behaved differently when PPP requested to contest in the MCA constituency at Kota Laksamana, Ali Rustam was so polite that he said he would discuss with MCA to get MCA’s permission before promising PPP to contest in that constituency. However, when it comes to Bachang, Ali Rustam behaved in a very unfriendly manner by giving pressure to Gerakan. Obviously, Ali Rustam is a double standard person who bullies the weak. I don’t understand why the Melaka Chief Minister is so courteous to MCA yet so heartless and unreasonable to Gerakan,” said Dr Dominic.

Dr Dominic also responded to Ali Rustam’s skepticism towards Gerakan on Gerakan’s chances of winning Bachang, he said, “Gerakan is very confident to win the Bachang constituency in the next election based on the impressive election records which Gerakan has in that constituency, hence, I hereby urge Ali Rustam to stop making all the destructive and demoralizing remarks. As the chairman of BN Melaka, he should be helpful and supportive of Gerakan and not continue hitting Gerakan.”

Dr Dominic said, “I have suggested Ali Rustam to refer to the Blue Ocean Strategy earlier, however, he still fails to demonstrate a fair attitude which a state BN Chairman should possess. If Ali Rustam needs any clarification on the concept, I’m very willing to deliver a course for him to guide him how to utilize the Blue Ocean Strategy properly.”

Ali Rustam must not forget his current position, he has to resolve the issue of seats allocation in a fair and open manner. He must stop giving problem to Gerakan just because Gerakan has been behaving like a gentleman all these while.
