Penang Gerakan Legal and Human Rights Bureau strongly disagree for the idea of forming non-Malay NGO’s functioning as Perkasa.

Perkasa is an extremist group which goes against the principle of 1Malaysia. It does not reflect the majority view of the Malays. It is led by only one independent MP who is not a member of any Barisan Nasional component party.

I reiterate my earlier call to Home Ministry to revoke the registration of Perkasa as it is only stirring up racial tension. The police should also speed up its investigation against those who are trying to cause racial tension irrespective who they are.
