Penang Gerakan celebrated the Year of the Ox with Malaysians on the 2nd day of Chinese New Year at its headquarters building in 139, Jalan Macalister.

Symbolizing a new beginning after the winter, the Lunar New Year brings new hope and aspiration for the people. Penang Gerakan shared this special occasion with the rakyat in this important traditional festival.

Penang Gerakan Chairman Sdra Dr Teng Hock Nan and organizing committee chairman Sdra Ong Thean Lye said the open house was for all races to enjoy the celebration with the Chinese community.

“Holding this open house will also promote understanding and appreciation of each other’s culture in this multi-racial and multi-cultural society.”
