SME Dialogue with MATRADE Chairman

“Apply the Market Development Grant directly in Matrade office or go online, no third party is needed,” said Matrade chairman Datuk Mah Siew Keong during his speech at the SME Dialogue on Wednesday 8th December.
“Grant application is very transparent, and it is for all those eligible,” Mah added.
The SME dialogue session is organized by Penang Gerakan Economy and SME Development Bureau, attended by manufacturing, trade and associations. Datuk Mah encourage all SMEs to participate in oversea and local international trade exhibitions. “Malaysian products are actually premier class in many countries,” he added.
The market development grant is subsidizing 50% in air tickets and hotel rooms for two, as well as exhibition booths. “Matrade is currently not limiting how many exhibitions a company can participate,” said Mah.
Mah also mentioned Matrade’s concern for Penang, where much important SMEs and trades are happening. “Matrade has planned 6 seminars and workshops in Penang for year 2011 to help Penangites to do even better,” he said.
Also at the dialogue session is Penang Gerakan state chairman Dato’ Dr Teng Hock Nan, Economy and SME Development Bureau Chief Michael Heah, Penang Gerakan state secretary Goh Kheng Sneah, Penang Gerakan state treasurer Ng Fook On and other party leaders.
