“Jelutong Division is important to the party, because you contest all four seats under the Jelutong constituencies,” said Penang Gerakan Vice Chairman Sdra Tan King Chee during his speech at the Gerakan Jelutong Division AGM.

Sdra Tan shares his opinion that coming into contact, understand and helping people to handle their difficulties are basics for political work. All party members must put aside differences to focus on party’s objective especially when party is difficult times.

Gerakan Jelutong Division Chairman Sdra Ng Fook On reminded party members to remain smiling when they are going to the grass root. “Don’t be like our Chief Minister Lim Guan Eng, he even need the Indian master to remind him to smile,” added Sdra Ng.

Sdra Ng also mentioned that assistance and support from Barisan National Component Parties is vital for Gerakan to win back all four seats in Jelutong.

Sdra Ng Fook On also submitted membership application form of 100 new members to Sdra Ong Thean Lye during the event.

Also attended at the ceremony are: MCA Jelutong chief Datuk Leow Soo Tat, UMNO Jelutong chief Abdul Razak Abdul Rahman, MIC Jelutong chief Datuk P.Muniandy, PPP Jelutong chief Rajasegaran, and Gerakan leaders.
