Gerakan vice-president Datuk Mah Siew Keong hopes Malaysians will begin 2011 as a new decade with better understanding and co-existence, mutual respect, greater tolerance as well as no more racism.

In his New Year message, Datuk Mah, said Malaysians should resolve to forgive and forget and work towards a peaceful and harmonious relationship with one another in our multi-racial and multi-religious society.

“Let bygones be bygones. Discard hatreds and bitterness as the past is past. We should look forward to making Malaysia a progressive and prosperous country for all in the next decade,” he said, adding that hopefully the people would continue to support the government.
