The atmosphere was cordial with exchanges of views and pleasantries between Gerakan members and media representatives, numbering more than 200.

A simple dinner was served and guests were entertained with songs . Everyone present was generally happy at the Penang Gerakan/Media Night held at the Penang Gerakan headquarters in Macalister Road.

Most of the Penang media representatives including bureau managers and chiefs took time off from their busy schedules to participate in this meaningful event on Feb 26, 2009.

The evening’s programme was planned to foster closer interaction, exchange views, as well as to encourage party members and media to talk freely about the political situation and happenings in the state.
