Our wish list for Earth Day 2009

(1) To Conserve Energy
Turning off appliances and lights when leaving the rooms
Cut back on air conditioning use if can
Choosing energy-efficient products

(2) To Conserve Water
Don’t let the water run while shaving or brushing teeth
Take short showers instead of tub baths
Wash only full load of laundry or use the appropriate water level or load size selection on the washing machine
Repair all leaks

(3) Reuse, Reduce and Recycle
Practice the 3Rs, reduce how much you use, reduce what you can, recycle the rest
Then dispose of what’s left in the most environmentally friendly way

(4) To Improve Air Quality
Practising car pool
Promoting cycling

(5) Minimize Plastic Bag Usage
If necessary, use biodegradable bag
Say no to Styrofoam
