Koid should be dismissed for “improper behaviours”

From plagarising to attacking the police and now forwarding crude SMSes belittling Barisan Nasional parties, Sungai Pinang State Assemblyman Koid Teng Guan has always been in the lime light for the wrong reasons over the 2 years tenure in his position. Penang Gerakan and MCA members recently urged Chief Minister Lim Guan Eng to instruct Koid to resign as the assemblyman.

State Gerakan Publicity, Information and Communication bureau secretary Dr Thor Teong Gee said instead of giving constructive input during the state assembly and fight for the rights for the people in his constituency, Koid was busy forwarding malicious SMSes.

His failure in executing his duty as an assemblyman and inappropriate actions also invited complaints from his voters. Describing Koid’s act as “ridiculous”, Dr Thor said it is time for Lim to act fairly against Koid.

DAP’s leaders, including Lim Guan Eng, has always been urging others to resign or to be demoted. He should act as he always suggested and not to turn a blind eye on inefficient assemblyman who fails to carry out his responsibilities,” he said.

Penang MCA deputy chairman Eng Hiap Boon said Koid’s lame interpretation of “di fu” (hell) as “di fang zheng fu” (local government) shows that he has no repent on his own mistake at all.

He said even his eight-year-old daughter understands the meaning of “di fu” (hell) as a place where dead people goes to.

Koid’s Black History

In July 2008, Koid was caught red-handed plagarising former Datuk Keramat assemblyman Ong Thean Lye’s three written questions in the state assembly. This started the tease of Penang Government’s CAT policy as “Copycats”.

In May 2009, Koid was arrested for participating in an illegal assembly and clashing with the police at the Perak State assembly.

In November 2009, he has again appeared headlines in several local dailies for forwarding offensive SMSes during the state assembly’s proceeding.
