Penang Gerakan condemns utterly with remarks made by Perkasa President Ibrahim Ali with regards to the by-election result of Hulu Selangor and the recently concluded Sibu by-election, which are deemed to be seditious, racist and outrageous and in particular going against the Chinese community.

Penang Gerakan Legal and Human Rights Bureau Chairman Baljit Singh said the recent trend for bringing up racial issue in public is very irresponsible and goes against the spirit of 1Malaysia.

In short, he urges Ibrahim Ali to “shut up” and not raise and stir up racial sentiment.

He further stated that the government should seriously review to deregister Perkasa and any other organizations if they continue to play and stir up racial sentiment.
