Gerakan Vice President, Dato Mah Siew Keong calls Ibrahim Ali a dangerous politician in Malaysia. His remark on jihad is exactly against the Prime Minister’s 1Malaysian Vision. Such provocative statement is creating a lot of tension amongst the various communities.

Dato Mah said, “this is not the first time Ibrahim Ali makes such inflammatory statements, he had in the past made a lot of such statements. It is very unethical and dangerous for politicians to use racial and religious issues for selfish political purpose.

Dato Mah is in the opinion that Ibrahim Ali is making outrageous statements to get publicity, as such, he calls on all the Press to stop giving Ibrahim Ali big headlines and publicity. The Press Media also carries the responsibility to ensure a united and peaceful Malaysia, because the more publicity given to Ibrahim Ali, the more inflammatory statements he will make.

Dato Mah urged all parties to be patient and not respond to such provocative statements by Ibrahim Ali. Dato Mah also added that the man does not represent the majority and his is a lone voice to get publicity. So the way to stop him is to stop giving him publicity.

Dato Mah also added that Gerakan Party fully supports Tan Sri Koh Tsu Koon call to investigate Datuk Ibrahim Ali for inciting racial and religious hatred in his recent speeches. This must be done quickly before any bad uncalled for incident were to happen.
