“Community service projects are best place to get down to the field and listen to the people” says Mark Ooi, Gerakan Coordinator for Pulau Tikus area, during his visit to a community service programme by JASA and a local temple.

The programme on 20 June 2010 includes health screening, voter registration and assistance to apply welfare services. Also at the programme are Dato’ Dr. Teng Hock Nan, Ong Thean Lye, Tan Sri Dr. Chin Fook Weng, and JASA officers Kuan Tat Seng and Chung Soon Tatt.
