Gerakan Youth Secretary General Dr Dominic Lau today condemns the repeated act of splashing paint and hanging animal corps at the Penang DAP leaders service centers and residence as well as UMNO division premises in KL as cowardice and uncivilized.

Dr Dominic Lau said, “The act of the perpetrator is filled with the element of violence which had violated the law for causing criminal damage to properties. Obviously it is an act of coward because the perpetrator is unwilling to disclose his/her identity yet attempted to cause social unrest and create havoc by committing such act in a stealthy manner. The perpetrator/s can always resort to open discussion in a peaceful manner with the related authority should they have any dissatisfaction and not committing such violent acts to release their dissatisfaction.”

Dr Dominic Lau also urges the police to carry out in depth investigation as fast as possible so that the perpetrator is sanctioned by the law in order to prevent such incident from happening again in the future. Dr Dominic said, “This incident had further worsen the uneasy atmosphere and social tension prior to the BERSIH 2.0 rally on 9th July, thus it is hoped that the police can arrest the perpetrator in the shortest time possible to avoid further tension in the society.”

Dr Dominic said, Gerakan Youth again urges all related organizations to listen to the advice to call off the various rally scheduled on 9th July, 2011 to avoid disrupting social order and causing social unrest.
