“At the end of darkness, comes light,” said Penang Gerakan Chairman Dato’ Dr. Teng Hock Nan, when attended Pulau Tikus Gerakan Service and Activity Centre Chinese New Year Open House on February 8, 2011.
He presented a few Chinese calligraphy characters at the event to motivate party members to stay put and continue to serve the people.
Penang Gerakan Women’s Chief Ng Siew Lai reminds party members to prioritise the people’s need.
Dr Teng believes that matured democracy should have checked and balanced. If a ruling party is over powered, it will soon be corrupted.
Gerakan is cultivating young members who commit themselves to party’s ideology. Dr Teng also introduces the new Gerakan Coordinator for Pulau Tikus, Rowena Yam, to those attending the event.
The open house event is attended by 200, inclusive of BN and local leaders.
