Penang Gerakan has nothing to do with the false allegations against the Chief Minister’s son and it will not condone such an act, said Penang Gerakan Publicity, Information and Communication Bureau chief Dr Thor Teong Gee.
Therefore, it is disgusting, outrageous and way out of line when the Chief Minister’s political secretary, Ng Wei Aik, accused Penang Gerakan Youth of “having a hand” on the issue.
“Penang Gerakan has nothing to do with the issue and Ng, who is also Penang DAP Youth secretary, simply wanted to drag Gerakan into the “picture” for his own political agenda,” said Dr Thor in a statement on Friday.
In a statement on Thursday, Penang Gerakan vice-chairman Ong Thean Lye had also said that the party would not condone such an act and had also extended sympathy to the CM over the matter.
Dr Thor said Ng, who is also Komtar Assemblyman, is equally playing “gutter politics” and putting blame on Gerakan for every negative issue.
“Don’t simply make allegations without any substantive evidence, don’t simply drag us into muddy water when you or your boss are unhappy,” Dr Thor said.
“Don’t blame the Gerakan if you have constipation and can’t go to the toilet. As an elected people’s representative, please talk with sense and facts,” Dr Thor added.
On Thursday, Ng had at a press conference accused Penang Gerakan Youth of feeding the information to the blogger.
