“RM120mil is being allocated by Prime Minister’s Department for Penang Public Transport,” said Penang Gerakan chairman Dato’ Dr Teng Hock Nan during his speech at the Chinese New Year Open House for Bukit Bendera & Kebun Bunga constituencies on February 12, 2011.
“BN has never give up Penang,” he added. “RM1mil for Komtar and Weld Quay bus terminal air condition is the prove.” Paya Terubong, Balik Pulau, Batu Maung, Bandar Perda and Bukit Mertajam also each received RM200 thousand.
“This is from Penang BN’s list of achievements,” said Dr Teng. “Bukit Bendera and Padang Tembak should send a Gerakan representative to help you to monitor the state government,” he added.
BN Bukit Bendera chairman Dato’ Seri Chia Kwang Chye reassured that BN always place the people at top priority. “we may lost in GE, but we still care about our old friends,” he added.
The hosts, Parliament Bukit Bendera Coordinator Hng Chee Wey and DUN Kebun Bunga Coordinator Quah Kooi Heong, were invited to speak at the event.
Also attended at the event are Gerakan leaders, representatives from BN component parties and local leaders.
