It is a sad day indeed in Parliament when an elected people representative has no respect for the death. To say that he was rude is an understatement. It is a deplorable behaviour when Ibrahim Ali was speaking on his handphone comfortably seated down, when everyone stood up to observe a moment of silent in respect for YB Chong Ket Wah who passed away on October 9.
This behaviour of the so called champion (which he claims) lacks basic moral value and simple etiquette reasonable of a human being. Ibrahim Ali rudeness was so obvious that it is surprising that the Honourable Speaker failed to notice and reprimand him accordingly.
Penang Gerakan Legal and Human Right Bureau Chief Baljit Singh suggests that time has come for people’s representative like Ibrahim Ali to be made to attend and pass an ethic course on basic manner so that he can be a better Malaysian.
