I agree, the quota system provided under the New Economic Policy do help certain ethnic group which purported been marginalised, to stand a better chance in the workplace. However, this policy has brought more harms than goods. Therefore, instead of maintaining a minimum quota of 30% of the employee must be Malays, I suggest this should be amended to a minimum quota of 20% for Malays, and another 20% for non-Malays, which include Chinese, Indians and others. My Proposal to the Election Commission (Part 2)
28 Apr 2009, 1:01 PM
Prior to the amendments in law, any attempt to resolve the Perak crisis would only be in the short term interest and be futile in the long term. I reckon that it would be better if both leaders of Barisan Nasional and Pakatan Rakyat would work together in reviewing the election laws in Malaysia and make the appropriate recommendations to the Election Commission for the benefit of Malaysians. From the Past to Present to Future, Starting Anew… (Part 2)
26 Apr 2009, 11:10 PM
Why do I mention Syed Hussien, it is because Gentlemen like him are not known to compromise the need to be multiracial in both form and substance. Parti Gerakan Rakyat Malaysia or the Malaysian People's Movement Party started off as a multiracial party in 1968. Its first chairman was the late Professor Syed Hussein Alatas. In its early days as the opposition state government of Penang, Gerakan made quite widespread use of the services of its Malay members. When in 1972 Gerakan co-founder Tun Lim Chong Eu led the party into BN, the late Tan Sri Dr Tan Chee Khoon opposed it. Read More »

From the Past to Present to Future, Starting Anew… (Part 1)
18 Apr 2009, 11:02 PM
When I first made the decision to join a political party in the Barisan Nasional, after having been associated with the alternative in Malaysia for the last 18 years, I shopped around for a party whose ideology I could most identify with. I say 'shop' because that is what political parties do, they sell an ideology, a belief, A HOPE. Read More »

Party’s Interest above People’s Interest?
17 Apr 2009, 4:31 PM
"As the state's chief executive officer, Lim has the prerogative over matters in the state administration, especially in the appointment and replacement of the Deputy Chief Minister. He seems to have lost his power to PKR de facto leader Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim," said Ong. "We understand that Lim, being the DAP secretary-general, can only control his own party and his men but when the post of DCM involves the state administration, Lim should be firm in making a decision," said Ong, adding that this latest fiasco only added to people's fears that the Pakatan was not a coalition of power-sharing but a coalition of supremacy of one man. An Outrageous Resignation
16 Apr 2009, 4:42 PM
The reasons given out by him for his resignation, in particular to further his studies and to spend more time with his family, are totally unacceptable, (save as for death, illness or other conditions rendering the assemblyman unfit to discharge his duties). Such an outrageous resignation, including the one at Bukit Selembau (also by PKR assemblyman) would cause a total waste of tax payers’ money and time. Read More »

Gerakan’s Stand: Surat Terbuka kepada Yang Amat Berhormat Timbalan Perdana Menteri
14 Apr 2009, 8:18 PM
Read More »
A Letter to All “People’s Representatives”
14 Apr 2009, 7:43 PM
As the ultimate boss, it is our right to throw out of office any representative who is not heeding the wishes of the people, who is not functioning well, and who is on the take. It is our right as citizens. And please do not say we are not grateful if we did not vote you, since to function well is part of your job description, and you have to fulfill your job description in order for us to vote you in again, and not by using projects to exchange for our votes. Wait for Another 4 Years
2 Mar 2009, 1:52 AM
But sometimes I wonder, have other people ever felt insufficient? Have they ever thought that medicine is for someone else’s? Well, it’s a shame to admit but sometimes I certainly do feel that way.
